History

Wetsco opened its doors for business in 2002, starting with just 10 employees in a 1500 sq. ft. building. As of June 2007, the company now employs over 65 people in a 25,000 sq. ft. building. Wetsco’s unit-sales volume has exploded during the same period, with no slow-down in sight. Our facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma houses all divisions including Engineering, Repair Operations, Quality Management, Sales and Customer Service, Shipping / Receiving, and Administration. All transducers are processed, repaired, and shipped from this facility.

Our history of repairing probes dates back to the early 1990’s. For the last two decades owners Dennis Wulf and Wendell Laxton have focused themselves on the changing technology of ultrasound. Along with a full staff of engineers they have developed the technology to repair the unrepairable. These exclusive repairs include array replacements, TEE shaft replacements, cable harness replacements, and the in-house plastics molding shop. This technology driven mentality gives Wetsco a worldwide competitive edge.

Dedication to Quality Repairs

Historically the aftermarket repair and refurbishment industry for medical devices has been a very fast-moving, dynamic, and innovative business. Unfortunately this same entrepreneurial spirit has also resulted in gaining the industry a soiled reputation when it comes to quality, consistency, and reliability. Even though the medical device repair industry is not currently FDA regulated, the Wetsco team has long been committed to a higher commitment – one based on planning, processes, systems, meeting regulatory requirements, and achieving consistent customer satisfaction. As such Wetsco embraced the management tools of ISO 9001:2000 originally but in 2007 decided to take it to the next level and registered to ISO 13485:2003.
